Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable Representative III:
• Engage in generating invoices, applying payments, and managing past-due accounts with precision and accuracy. • Utilize ERP and software platforms such as Waystar, Instamed, Availity, and WellSky, along with proficiency in Teams, Outlook, and Excel. • Reconcile accounts, research unapplied or misapplied payments, and monitor AR aging to identify collection priorities. • Communicate effectively with customers, patients, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and negotiate overdue payments. • Maintain a high level of organization to manage high-volume AR tasks without errors.
Required Skills for Accounts Receivable Representative III:
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits/credits and the AR process. • Proven experience in medical billing and collections, with familiarity in handling various claims and payers. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive relationships while collecting overdue payments. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize accounts based on aging or risk.
