IDR is seeking a Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is within the hospitality industry, focusing on supporting and enhancing the company’s data ecosystem. The position involves working with cross-functional partners to develop data solutions, maintain data quality, and implement scalable data architectures.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer:
- Responsible for supporting new and existing systems within the data ecosystem, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Collaborate with data and business teams to understand project requirements and design effective solutions.
- Manage and support data pipelines, including ETL processes, using tools such as Talend, Glue, and Lambda.
- Work within cloud environments, primarily AWS, to maintain and optimize data platforms like RedShift, Snowflake, and CDW.
- Keep stakeholders informed on project progress, risks, and issues during implementation phases.
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of work experience in Technology or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data quality, ETL, and maintenance processes.
- 3+ years of experience with Talend, Glue, and Lambda.
- 3+ years of experience with data platforms such as CDW, RedShift, and Snowflake.
- Exposure to AWS cloud technologies and hybrid environments is a plus.
