IDR is seeking a Deployment Technician to join one of our top clients for a fully onsite opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves supporting hardware deployment projects at a technical college campus, with a focus on equipment setup, relocation, and basic IT support activities. The company is a leading provider of IT services and infrastructure support within the education sector, committed to delivering reliable solutions for campus technology needs.
Position Overview for the Deployment Technician:
- Disconnect, move, and reinstall desktop workstations across campus buildings
- Set up computer peripherals including monitors, keyboards, mice, and docking stations
- Install and configure printers and replace toner as needed
- Perform hardware refresh and equipment relocation activities
- Audit and track IT equipment using inventory management software
Requirements for the Deployment Technician:
- Experience setting up or relocating desktop computer equipment
- Ability to disconnect and reconnect monitors, peripherals, and basic networking equipment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced deployment environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization when reinstalling equipment
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed (up to 40 lbs.)
