Desktop Support Technician Length: 12 months contract Location: Shelton, CT (on-site) The Select Group is partnering with an enterprise information technology company to find a skilled and customer-oriented mid-level Desktop Support Technician. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with executive level stake holders and advance your troubleshooting skills in a diverse hardware and software environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, and skilled support technician with the ability to prioritize ticket resolution and communicate effectively with customers.
Desktop Support Technician Must Have Skills
2+ years of experience in a technical desktop support role
Experience deploying and supporting Windows environment
Additional MacOS experience is a plus
Experience installing and removing hardware and software
Ability to prioritize ticket resolution and communicate effectively with customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to provide onsite support M-F during the hours of 8am-5pm
Desktop Support Technician Day to Day Responsibilities
Provide Tier 2 desktop support
Workstation setups for both Windows and macOS deployments
Respond and resolve incidents and requests through ticketing system
Hardware troubleshooting including – printers/copiers/MFPs/A/V technology
Application troubleshooting and escalations
Mobile and tablet troubleshooting support
