Position Summary
The Project Manager I supports the Senior Project Manager and Superintendent in overseeing commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for helping ensure project safety, quality, profitability, scheduling, manpower coordination, and productivity goals are met or exceeded.
The Project Manager I may independently manage smaller projects and is considered a Project Manager II in training.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience required
- Minimum 2 years of construction leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- National Electrical Code (NEC), Electrical Theory, Construction Scheduling, Commercial & Industrial Construction
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office Suite, Spectrum, Accubid, Bluebeam
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings
Key Responsibilities
- Support oversight of assigned electrical construction projects
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements
- Coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen to maintain productivity and scheduling goals
- Assist with:
- Material Coordination, Equipment Tracking, Labor Planning, Cost Reporting, Subcontractor Coordination
- Negotiate pricing, scopes, terms, and purchase orders
- Monitor installation quality and project progress
- Support manpower planning and workforce coordination
- Identify fabrication opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Evaluate employees and provide coaching and performance feedback
- Support company Safety and Human Resources policies and procedures
- Provide ongoing project updates and feedback to Division Leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass:
- Background Check, Drug Screening, Reference Checks
Working Conditions
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated work areas up to 90 feet
- Work in active construction environments and restricted spaces
- Ability to work overtime, night shifts, and travel if required
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical jobsite activities as needed
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Identify wire colors and electrical components
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and aerial lifts
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, balance, and reach overhead
- Tolerate prolonged standing and repetitive hand movement
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain productivity under deadlines
