IDR is seeking a IT Support Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Antonio, Texas. You will provide on-site front-door IT support within an enterprise and government-focused environment, helping staff, executives, contractors, and visitors stay productive. This contract role supports day-to-day endpoint, collaboration, and connectivity needs with a strong emphasis on documentation, security procedures, and user experience.
Position Overview for the IT Support Technician:
- Deliver on-site IT support at the San Antonio office, serving staff, executives, contractors, and visitors
- Support laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, meeting rooms, collaboration tools, and network connectivity
- Handle user onboarding/offboarding, account and access coordination, asset inventory, equipment moves, and break/fix coordination
- Resolve or triage service requests using approved ticketing processes and maintain user-facing knowledge resources
- Provide time-sensitive executive-priority and business-hours support, including device deployment, refresh, relocation, and secure disposal coordination
Requirements for the IT Support Technician:
- 8+ years of experience providing onsite IT support, desktop support, endpoint support, or field support in an enterprise or government environment
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, operating systems, collaboration tools, network connectivity, and user access issues
- 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, mobile device management, endpoint security, or equivalent collaboration and endpoint platforms
- 3+ years of experience using ticketing, asset inventory, knowledge management, service documentation, and customer communications practices
- 2+ years of experience following security procedures for account access, device handling, data protection, privileged support, and incident escalation
