IDR is seeking a OT Network Device Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Norcross. This role involves supporting manufacturing operational technology networks, focusing on troubleshooting and stabilizing network infrastructure within industrial environments. The position offers the chance to work remotely with periodic travel and provides an engaging environment for technology professionals dedicated to industrial network support.
Position Overview for the OT Network Device Engineer:
- Provide reactive support and stabilization for manufacturing OT network environments.
- Troubleshoot remote access solutions, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and network connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams on issues that span both domains.
- Review and maintain network documentation, device inventories, and site diagrams.
- Identify opportunities for proactive network monitoring and future support improvements.
Requirements for the OT Network Device Engineer:
- Extensive experience with OT management of networking (10+ years).
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and ACLs.
- Experience troubleshooting Ewon or similar industrial remote access solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to support OT/industrial network environments, particularly in manufacturing settings.
- Understanding of IT/OT boundary issues and adept at differentiating network problems from control system issues.
