PLATFORM ENGINEER - REMOTE
A leading telecom client is seeking a Platform Engineer to support a critical infrastructure migration project from VMware to Wind River. This is a remote, long-term contract position aligned to MST hours. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Kubernetes, and VMware environments  experience. 

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter

• Proficiency in Linux systems engineering

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with Jira
• Migration experience with VMware

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Background in the telecom industry

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal project teams to support the Wind River migration

• Administer and maintain KubeVirt environments within Kubernetes clusters

• Conduct regular health and performance checks on virtual machines

• Manage Rancher for Kubernetes orchestration, access control, and lifecycle management

• Operate and maintain VMware vCenter and vSphere platforms for provisioning and management

(This position has the potential to convert to a full-time role. If converted, candidates may be required to relocate to the client’s location in either Colorado or Wyoming)
