Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Referral Coordinator:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming environment
- Effectively communicate in a professional and positive manner
- Handle difficult and stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Operate general office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and telephones
- Organize information or data for easy retrieval and use
- Successfully complete training orientation program(s) and competencies
- Use Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Required Skills for Referral Coordinator:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical/ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of insurances, including eligibility and benefit coverage
- Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
- Preferred: Experience with electronic scheduling and insurance/HMO authorizations

Pay range: $18-$20/hr
