IDR is seeking a Senior Buyer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, Tennessee. This company operates within the healthcare supply chain industry, providing essential medical and clinical materials to various facilities across the country. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced supply chain professionals to contribute to a growing organization with a focus on operational excellence.
Position Overview for the Senior Buyer:
- Lead day-to-day purchasing and planning activities for essential equipment, clinical materials, and non-clinical supplies
- Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, ensuring timely procurement, delivery, and invoice reconciliation
- Develop and maintain inventory policies, reorder points, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and monitoring performance to ensure service excellence
- Collaborate closely with operations, clinical, finance, and other departments to align supply plans with organizational needs
Requirements for the Senior Buyer:
- 7+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply planning within a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated success managing suppliers, placing and expediting orders, and resolving supply disruptions
- Strong working knowledge of PO processes, inventory control, and demand planning systems
- Experience working in ERP, MRP, procurement, or inventory management systems
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
