<p> </p> <h1 data-start="233" data-end="267">Systems Administrator – Senior</h1> <p data-start="268" data-end="291"><strong data-start="268" data-end="281">Location:</strong> Remote.</p> <p data-start="293" data-end="326"><strong data-start="293" data-end="313">Employment Type:</strong> Full-time.</p> <p data-start="293" data-end="326"><strong data-start="293" data-end="313">Salary Range:</strong> $120,000 - $130,000.</p> <hr data-start="328" data-end="331"> <h3 data-start="333" data-end="355">Program Overview</h3> <p data-start="356" data-end="636">The Systems Administrator – Senior ensures the stable operation of in-house computer systems, software, and network connections. This role involves planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network software and communication links across multiple locations.</p> <p data-start="638" data-end="1031">Responsibilities include troubleshooting end-user software and connectivity issues, analyzing system capacity and performance, applying security standards, and providing technical recommendations that align with organizational goals. The administrator will also direct the work of other system administrators to support day-to-day operations, optimize resources, and deliver user assistance.</p> <hr data-start="1033" data-end="1036"> <h3 data-start="1038" data-end="1122">Duties of a Systems Administrator – Senior may include but are not limited to:</h3> <ul data-start="1123" data-end="2353"> <li data-start="1123" data-end="1240"> <p data-start="1125" data-end="1240">Installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing Microsoft <strong data-start="1186" data-end="1225">Internet Information Services (IIS)</strong> web servers.</p> </li> <li data-start="1241" data-end="1366"> <p data-start="1243" data-end="1366">Monitoring services, deploying applications, troubleshooting issues, applying patches, and maintaining security settings.</p> </li> <li data-start="1367" data-end="1476"> <p data-start="1369" data-end="1476">Implementing <strong data-start="1382" data-end="1438">DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)</strong> to ensure cybersecurity compliance.</p> </li> <li data-start="1477" data-end="1590"> <p data-start="1479" data-end="1590">Managing <strong data-start="1488" data-end="1536">Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates</strong> to support secure communication and data integrity.</p> </li> <li data-start="1591" data-end="1674"> <p data-start="1593" data-end="1674">Performing network troubleshooting, including firewall and connectivity issues.</p> </li> <li data-start="1675" data-end="1787"> <p data-start="1677" data-end="1787">Conducting capacity and performance analysis, making recommendations for configuration changes and upgrades.</p> </li> <li data-start="1788" data-end="1874"> <p data-start="1790" data-end="1874">Applying automated tools and scripts to increase system administration efficiency.</p> </li> <li data-start="1875" data-end="1950"> <p data-start="1877" data-end="1950">Developing system administration procedures, training, and assessments.</p> </li> <li data-start="1951" data-end="2057"> <p data-start="1953" data-end="2057">Providing <strong data-start="1963" data-end="2003">local and remote maintenance support</strong> for servers and applications across multiple sites.</p> </li> <li data-start="2058" data-end="2162"> <p data-start="2060" data-end="2162">Performing vulnerability management, load balancing, and fault tolerance for application networking.</p> </li> <li data-start="2163" data-end="2248"> <p data-start="2165" data-end="2248">Maintaining detailed records of configurations, changes, and incident activities.</p> </li> <li data-start="2249" data-end="2353"> <p data-start="2251" data-end="2353">Collaborating with IT professionals and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and maintain systems.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2355" data-end="2358"> <h3 data-start="2360" data-end="2394">Required Skills / Experience</h3> <ul data-start="2395" data-end="2927"> <li data-start="2395" data-end="2522"> <p data-start="2397" data-end="2522">Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with at least <strong data-start="2455" data-end="2493">10 years of specialized experience</strong> in Information Processing.</p> </li> <li data-start="2523" data-end="2644"> <p data-start="2525" data-end="2644">Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems.</p> </li> <li data-start="2645" data-end="2754"> <p data-start="2647" data-end="2754">Advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including <strong data-start="2713" data-end="2751">load balancing and fault tolerance</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="2755" data-end="2832"> <p data-start="2757" data-end="2832">Experience with <strong data-start="2773" data-end="2829">vulnerability management and cybersecurity practices</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="2833" data-end="2927"> <p data-start="2835" data-end="2927">Strong troubleshooting skills with <strong data-start="2870" data-end="2924">network protocols, firewalls, and diagnostic tools</strong>.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2981" data-end="3052"><strong data-start="2981" data-end="3006">Position Sensitivity:</strong> Critical Sensitive (Formerly IT-I or IT-1).</p> </li> <li data-start="3053" data-end="3154"> <p data-start="3055" data-end="3154"><strong data-start="3055" data-end="3085">Investigation Requirement:</strong> Must possess a favorable <strong data-start="3111" data-end="3131">Tier 5
