Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable):
- Oversee Accounts Payable functions including vendor, customer, and banking responsibilities
- Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Manage grant tracking, submittals, and intercompany invoicing
- Familiarize with enterprise zone certifications and renewals
- Proficient in billing, posting, and sales tax reporting
- Understand property tax AP posting and processing
- Support financial system training and process improvements
- Participate in a new system integration project
Required Skills for Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable):
- 5+ years of experience in overseeing Accounts Payable functions
- Experience with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Knowledge of grant tracking, submittals, and intercompany invoicing
- Familiarity with enterprise zone certifications and renewals
- Proficiency in billing, posting, and sales tax reporting
- Understanding of property tax AP posting and processing
- Experience with system integration: POs, inventory, intercompany transactions, and projects
- Ability to support financial system training and process improvements
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Construction or Telecom industry experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or degree in accounting highly preferred

Compensation Details: $35-37.50/hr W2
